Samarkand is a city in Uzbekistan, which is the capital of the Samarkand region. Its name means ‘place for meeting people’ or ‘place for convergence’, incarnated with the roads, the destinations, the voyage of the body, the spirit and the senses. As a commercial city, the abundant cultures can still be found there today. It was a place where people did business and where they took a break before they left for another city. Every one was leaving with full of novel ideas and grown perspectives for the future.

My salon of tea is exactly such a place.  In my philosophy, ‘Sur la Route de Samarkande’ symbolizes a crossing where gather a multitude of young people coming from multiple horizons. They rest, meet, discuss and exchange the different views. Their lives are enriched by the new conversations. So they have made quite a lot of new friends in the salon when leaving. No matter where he or she comes from, no matter how old they are, no matter what their level of education is, every one is welcomed. It’s my great honor to have everyone as my guests.

I open this tea salon not only for the reasons above but also for the reason that tea itself has la lot of unique characteristics. The tea is no doubt a millenary drink which is 100% distilled from the nature. In my home town, it is very popular. Furthermore it is easy to make a tea. You just need to put the tea in the boiling water and wait a minute. It’s ready! But the process of turning the leaves to the tea is not that easy. There are three steps – the select, the dry and the admixture. The magic and abundant perfumes of the tea are created by this process. I am conquered by the tea. And so is the whole world. What about you? Do you like tea? Anyway, the door of « Sur la Route de Samarkande » is always open. I am waiting for your join.
